Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>National carrier RwandAir has added a new Airbus A330-200 to its fleet.<\/p>\n

The airline announced the arrival of the plane on the night of Saturday, March 18 via Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cTouchdown! we took delivery of our third long-haul aircraft, Airbus A330-200, as we continue to expand our fleet,\u201d it tweeted.<\/p>\n

The new addition will operate destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, including London, Brussels, Lagos, and Dubai.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the CEO of RwandAir Yvonne Manzi Makolo said the aircraft will allow them to continue their route expansion and offer customers even more connections.<\/p>\n

Typically carrying between 210 and 250 passengers in its 222-inch-wide twin-aisle fuselage, the A330-200 can be configured with as many as 406 seats in higher-density layouts.<\/p>\n

Its seat pitch is adaptable in units of one inch, while galleys, lavatories, and stowage areas can be arranged in different groupings and locations \u2013 resulting in excellent versatility for operators.<\/p>\n

On longer-range journeys, the aircraft is able to accommodate comfortable crew rest areas that can be removed in approximately 50 minutes should an airline wish to optimize the cabin interior for shorter routes.<\/p>\n

The A330-200 is configurable with modern fourth-generation in-flight entertainment, including video-on-demand, as well as mobile telephone and e-mail connectivity via satellite.<\/p>\n

The new A330 added by RwandAir takes the national carrier’s fleet to two airbuses: – an A330-300, and an A330-200.<\/p>\n

The airline also boasts four Boeing 737-800NG, two Bombardier Q-400 NextGen, two Bombardier CRJ-900 Next Gen, and two Boeing 737-700NG.<\/p>\n

RwandAir is continuing to expand its destinations.<\/p>\n

Late last year, the airline launched direct flights to London\u2019s Heathrow airport, where it operates four direct flights a week.<\/p>\n

From its hub at the Kigali International Airport, RwandAir is getting more and more known. RwandAir currently serves close to 30 destinations across East, Central, West, and Southern Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n
