Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Dr. Floribert Ngaruko, the Executive Director at the World Bank Group, on Thursday held discussions with Rwanda\u2019s Prime Minister Dr. Ngirente at his office in the capital Kigali.<\/p>\n

However, details of their discussion have not been mentioned by the Prime Ministers office.<\/p>\n

Dr. Floribert Ngaruko a Burundian national represents 22 African countries including Rwanda.<\/p>\n

He was appointed as the new Executive Director of the World Bank\u2019s Group 1 Africa at the 2022 Annual Meeting held, October 13, 2022 in Washington DC. He is serving as the group\u2019s administrator for a two-year term.<\/p>\n

Before his appointment, Ngaruko, had been serving as the Alternate Executive Director for Africa Group I (Botswana, Burundi, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe) at the World Bank Group, Washington, DC since November 2020.<\/p>\n

According to his profile, has 20 year-long exposure to development management in three of the most influential regional and international institutions that have the greatest engagement in capacity development in Africa.<\/p>\n

He has held various high-level positions at The World Bank, Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) from 2002-2004.<\/p>\n

He also worked at The African Capacity Building Foundation\u2014ACBF from 2004-2009.<\/p>\n

Recently, he was working at The African Development Bank from 2009-2020.<\/p>\n
