Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The Rwanda Development Board\u2019s CEO, Clare Akamanzi, and the Rwandan High Commissioner to Australia, Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, have kickstarted tourism and investment promotion roadshows in Australia.<\/p>\n

They are promoting Rwanda as a global sports tourism hub and intend to increase the volume of traded goods between Rwanda and Australia.<\/p>\n

On Monday, March 27, Akamanzi and Uwihanganye had a \u201cbreakfast meeting with 20 legends and professionals\u201d from various sporting fields in Brisbane, Queensland.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, they discussed how to attract major events and tournaments to Rwanda, enabling the country to become a global sports tourism hub.<\/p>\n

They also explored investment opportunities in Rwanda’s sporting industry.<\/p>\n

Later in the day, the High Commissioner and the RDB boss visited AKN Organics in Brisbane, a supplier of Made in Rwanda products, including Kinazi cassava flour, coffee, and Africa Improved Foods products. They discussed ways to increase the volume of the goods traded between Rwanda and Australia.<\/p>\n

The Rwandan High Commissioner to Australia, H.E @Jadouwihanganye and RDB CEO, @cakamanzi visited AKN Organics, a supplier of #MadeInRwanda products including @KinaziLtd cassava flour, coffee and @AIFRwanda in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

Earlier, on Sunday, March 26, Uwihanganye, was hosted on 98.1 4EB FM Hobe Australia, an hour-long program aimed at reaching across Australia, back to Rwanda, and to diaspora Rwandan communities worldwide. During the program, he discussed investment opportunities in Rwanda and called on members of the Rwandan diaspora in Australia to invest in their home country.<\/p>\n

He explained that the government has eased the process of starting a business or investing in already established businesses in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

Uwihanganye assured potential investors that Rwanda is a safe country, and their investments would be safe. He encouraged Rwandans living in Australia to take advantage of the investment opportunities in their country and assured them of the government’s support.<\/p>\n
