Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The 2023 volleyball league championship, both men and women, will commence on April 22, the volleyball governing body (FRVB) has said.<\/p>\n

According to the federation\u2019s Secretary General, Philbert Mucyo, the championship will feature eight clubs in men\u2019s category, and seven in the women\u2019s fray.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe league will start on April 22 for both the women and men\u2019s divisions,\u201d said Mucyo.<\/p>\n

REG and APR are defending champions in men and women’s categories respectively and both teams will represent Rwanda at the 2023 Africa Club Championships.<\/p>\n

REG and APR enjoyed a dominant season having both added the Taxpayers\u2019 tournament titles and Heroes Day silverware to their trophy cabinet in their respective categories.<\/p>\n

The eight men\u2019s clubs include APR, Forefront, Gisagara, REG, IPRC-Ngoma, IPRC-Musanze, Kirehe, Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the women\u2019s league will bring together APR, forefront, RRA, Kamonyi, Ruhango, IPRC-Kigali and IPRC-Huye.<\/p>\n
