Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Following the Global Money Week, this Tuesday, March 28th SPENN Rwanda welcomed students from various universities and secondary schools at their Head Offices located at Norrsken premises to educate them about financial literacy in line with SPENN vision to provide Economic Opportunity for Everyone.<\/p>\n

The students who participated in the global money week which is being held under the theme: \u201cPlant your money, plan your future,\u201d got the chance to learn more about SPENN\u2019s products along with their partner, I&M Bank.<\/p>\n

The Head of Marketing and Sales at SPENN, Angelique Ingabire, told The New Times that the event was mainly to showcase the contribution of SPENN Rwanda in educating young people on adapting to the culture of saving. \u201cAt SPENN, we believe that financial education is essential for everyone, regardless of age or income level. SPENN products are designed to be accessible and engaging for both youth and adults.<\/p>\n

This visit is part of our commitment to promote financial literacy and empower young people to have access to financial services. \u201cEvery Rwandan deserves access to the tools and knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions and achieve their goals\u201d. added Angelique Ingabire<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you have a job or you’re a student waiting for a bursary or salary, you can get a loan using SPENN and pay back your loan once you’ve been paid. What makes it unique is that if you pay back your loan within 14 days, there is no interest charged. This type of loan is only available at SPENN. Beyond that, the interest rate remains low,\u201d she explained. SPENN is very committed to making the youth more financially included. More featured products are being worked on to give better services to students and youth in general.<\/p>\n

According to Ingabire, SPENN has a lot to offer, including several upcoming products that will address the concerns raised by Rwandans and facilitate their easy access to funds.<\/p>\n

By utilizing SPENN technology, users can better plan for their future and take advantage of the benefits offered by the platform.<\/p>\n

E\u0301lise Kwitonda, a student at Africa Leadership University (ALU), said that he has been following the global money week, and he got the opportunity to learn more about SPENN and I&M Bank.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got introduced to new opportunities that we didn\u2019t know existed on the market such as instant banking, transacting at zero fee with SPENN but also loans for youth that can be paid back in 14 days without any charges.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kwitonda pointed out that he learned about SPENN\u2019s saving system which is innovative and sustainable for the long run, among other things.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe spent enough time with them and it was an interesting learning experience. From now on I am planning to open a SPENN account and an I&M account with the overall goal of saving so that I can prepare better for my future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rosine Uwizeyimana, a monetary economics student at UR-Huye campus, said: \u201cI\u2019ve learned a lot throughout the whole week of Global money week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Talking about SPENN, she pointed out how it was an interesting section. She is now able to open a SPENN account. Rosine knows how she can save, and how the SPENN system is user-friendly.<\/p>\n

Uwizeyimana is urging fellow youth to adopt the culture of saving through SPENN and I&M Bank.<\/p>\n

As a partner of SPENN, I&M Bank also informed students about their products, including Future Pro for students aged between 20 and 25 years old, and Young Saver for children aged 0 to 18 years old, among other offers.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the bank highlighted various youth opportunities available through their institution.<\/p>\n
