Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>APR women basketball head coach Charles Mbazumutima has warned rivals that the race for the women\u2019s national basketball league is still open.<\/p>\n

Defending champions Rwanda Energy Group (REG) are top of the table with 8 points and are level on points with second-placed APR while IPRC-Huye and GS Gahini come third and fourth respectively with 6 points each.<\/p>\n

Based on the current standings, Mbazumutima expressed his confidence in his women that they can fight for the top prize till the last minute.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are still in the title race at this stage; we are doing everything possible to stay close to the leaders,\u201d he told Times Sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ultimate target is the league title and the season still has a long way to go,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

APR women return to league action on Saturday, April 1, when they lock horns with REG, hoping that a victory would see them leapfrog them to move top of the league table.<\/p>\n
