Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Passengers using Ngoma Taxi Park are elated about the inauguration of a new bus park that promises increased passenger security, reduced overcrowding, and enhanced business prospects.<\/p>\n

The construction of the bus park, valued at more than Rwf 1 billion, will be carried out in two phases. The first phase, costing Rwf 750 million, has been completed and includes features such as ample car parking, retail shops, comprehensive surveillance for enhanced security, and a unique mothers’ room\u2014a rarity in other similar bus parks.<\/p>\n

Commuters, like Josiane Uwumutima, welcomed the inclusion of a mothers’ room in the taxi park. Uwumutima believes that this addition will provide comfort and security for mothers traveling with their children.<\/p>\n

“I’ve never seen a taxi park with a designated mothers’ room before. It’s my first time, and I’m thrilled about it. Mothers will now have a place to breastfeed and take breaks during long journeys. The park is truly modern.”<\/p>\n

Olivier Nsabimana, the first shopkeeper in the taxi park, anticipates a boost in business opportunities within the Kibungo sector due to the park’s modern amenities. Nsabimana also looks forward to catering to football enthusiasts passing through the taxi park during games featuring the newly promoted Etoile de l’Est in the top flight football league, further enhancing his business.<\/p>\n

He remarked, “The park’s proximity to a football stadium provides us with an excellent opportunity to attract fans during matches. We can sell flyers, t-shirts, and other merchandise that fans love. It’s a definite advantage for us.”<\/p>\n

Minister of Local GovernmentMinister of Local Government Jean Claude Musabyimana officially inaugurates Ngoma Taxis Park on Thursday, June 8.<\/p>\n

During the inauguration of the taxi park, Minister of Local Government Jean Claude Musabyimana encouraged Ngoma residents to make use of the new facility and take advantage of its modern amenities. He stressed the importance of maintaining order and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all users.<\/p>\n

“This infrastructure will transform Ngoma District, serving as a modern and convenient transportation hub for residents and visitors alike. It will become a bustling center of activity and a valuable resource for the people of Ngoma,” Musabyimana said.<\/p>\n

The second phase of the park, estimated to cost over Rwf 800 million, is set to launch soon, as confirmed by Col. (Rtd) Dodo Twahirwa, CEO of Jali Investment Ltd, which is also responsible for managing Kayonza Taxi Park in the Eastern Province.<\/p>\n

The completion of phase 1 of Ngoma Taxi Park comes after ten months of progressive construction. Passengers believe that this development will not only enhance transportation in the area but also create new business opportunities, giving Ngoma town a fresh and vibrant outlook.<\/p>\n
