Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>TechAffinity, a multinational company that aims to provide custom software and technology solutions to businesses for their betterment, held a celebratory dinner and workplace launch to mark the company\u2019s one-year anniversary in Rwanda.<\/p>\n

To start off the anniversary celebrations, TechAffinity\u2019s team launched their new office in the Cogebanque building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurated by the ambassador of Israel to Rwanda, Dr. Ron Adam, and the company\u2019s major stakeholders, followed by a brief tour of the new offices.<\/p>\n

The ceremony then transitioned into a dinner event at Ubumwe Grande Hotel, graced by the Minister of ICT, and dignitaries such Mr. Robert Hale, representing the British High Commission in Kigali, Mr. Saleh Habimana, former ambassador to Morocco, and several representatives from Rwanda Development Board, Harambee, GIZ, Tek Experts.<\/p>\n

Reminiscing on their achievements, TechAffinity\u2019s CEO Jam Nelavai pointed out that they have successfully hired and trained 30 employees on the job, and a significant number of them have a great understanding of client relations, affording them the opportunity to serve clients across the globe\u2014achieving client satisfaction and professional growth simultaneously.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to their technical expertise, we have equipped them with leadership and communication skills, and they are able to serve and communicate with clients in the US, Canada, and South Africa.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Nelavai pointed out that because the Rwandan division serves clients from the UK, US, Sweden, Tanzania and South Africa, the company was able to bring in close to half-a-million USD of export revenue, a significant achievement among the local tech sector.<\/p>\n

Nelavai also expressed that the Rwanda division plays a significant role in TechAffinity\u2019s goal to impact the entire African continent, and increasing employment from 30 to 150 is the first of many steps to achieving that goal.<\/p>\n

Throughout the dinner, TechAffinity employees received endorsements from some of the clients they have served in their tenure, highlighting their adequate work ethic, and how helpful they\u2019ve been to clients, as well as how their skillset has helped in providing solutions that were otherwise unattainable.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers at the event was Hannah Adams, the country manager at Harambee Youth Empowerment Accelerator, who among other things, congratulated the TechAffinity team on their one-year anniversary and emphasised the importance of involving and employing the youth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt takes courage and we are glad that you chose Rwanda. Your presence here has made an impact. Creating opportunities for young people is important and none of us can do our jobs without you. Congratulations to the TechAffinity team,\u201d Adams said.<\/p>\n

During her keynote speech, Paula Ingabire, Minister of ICT and Innovation, congratulated the TechAffinity team on the strides they have made thus far and expressed her expectations for them in the future, concluding with the assurance that the government of Rwanda supports them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very exciting to be here a year later after the launch of TechAffinity into the Rwandan market and I want to start off by congratulating you on your very first anniversary. As the Government of Rwanda, it\u2019s a great show of commitment and we are grateful. Beyond just growth in employment, we want to see more impact revenues and more endorsements. I think this was possible because of the power of many, like Harambee and RDB and you can count on the government to support you as you continue to do business here,\u201d Ingabire said.<\/p>\n
