Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rwanda (U19) has been voted as the International Cricket Council (ICC) Associate Member\u2019s best Women’s Performer of the year 2022\/23.<\/p>\n Rwanda was among four African countries which swooped awards during the ICC development awards held on Friday, June 16.<\/p>\n Rwanda which had a remarkable year in women’s cricket as they reached the super six of the maiden edition of the U19 female cricket world cup in South Africa were awarded alongside Nigeria, Uganda, and Namibia who all excelled in the sport.<\/p>\n The General manager of the Rwanda Cricket Association, Emmanuel Byiringiro, was pleased with the success of his country in the sport and is optimistic they can build upon it to do better.<\/p>\n “Rwanda Cricket winning the ICC Associate Member Women’s Performance of the year award is a remarkable achievement for the cricket fraternity and the country as a whole,” Byiringiro emphasized.<\/p>\n “It signifies the dedication, hard work and investment in developing women’s cricket in the country.
