Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rwanda national team head coach Carlos Alos Ferrer says he is not perturbed about his future despite failure to guide Rwanda to the 2023 AFCON finals in Co\u0302te d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n Amavubi had a brilliant start to the campaign as they lost one game in the first three matches although they played away.<\/p>\n Things, however, turned bad after the country got penalized for fielding an ineligible player during Benin qualifier in Kigali when Kevin Muhire played the match with two bookings.<\/p>\n ALSO READ<\/b>: Mozambique end Rwanda\u2019s AFCON 2023 qualification hopes<\/p>\n Amavubi still had a chance of qualification ubut they agonizingly lost 2-0 at the hands of Mozambique at Huye Stadium on Sunday, June 18, a result that saw their qualification dream coming to a crashing end.<\/p>\n People, especially supporters, are calling on Ferrer to leave the job after he failed to guide the nation to the AFCON but he maintains that he is not troubled about his future although he admits that football is full of uncertainties.<\/p>\n ALSO READ<\/b>: Ferrer extends Amavubi deal until 2025<\/p>\n “I am not afraid, I am an honest man, you can love me or not. I give my 100 percent in many things. I get worried when I don’t do my job as best as I can.” Ferrer stated in the post-match press conference.<\/p>\n “I say this many times, we know football and I am not worried about my contract. I just have to respect the country like I do always. I have to work hard, try to help and also make some changes. It is not my job to analyze if I have to lose my job or not.”<\/p>\n Ferrer appended his signature to a new two-year deal in March 2023 after his initial one year contract ended.<\/p>\n He again cut a frustrating figure on his team\u2019s failure to score goals something that he and his back room have been working on to fix it but in vain. And it is one of major issues that continue to him results.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have to look at new players who can help the team. This is our job. What we have to do is to analyze why we have this problem of scoring goals\u2019,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n And, commenting on his performance since he took charge of Amavubi in March 2022, the Spanish said, \u201cSince I came here, I have been doing my best to change the situation but it has not been enough.
