Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A special Night Run has been organized on Friday, June 30, in line with the celebration of Rwanda’s 29th Liberation Day through sports.<\/p>\n

The local Athletics governing body (RAF) in partnership with City of Kigali and the Ministry of Sports, normally organise Kigali Night Run, a monthly running exercise in order to promote the culture of sports among the city residents.<\/p>\n

Every year on July 4, Rwandans celebrate Liberation Day, which reflects on the day when Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA) liberated the nation from the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.<\/p>\n

The coming edition was therefore dubbed \u2018Liberation Day Night Run\u2019, to allow Kigalians to do sports while also celebrating liberation.<\/p>\n

The run will start at 6:00pm at Kigali Heights Round About and concludes at 9:00 pm. Participants will cover a distance of 5.4 km.<\/p>\n

Kigali Night Run is not a race but a social sports event aiming at helping and motivating Kigali residents to do sports regularly and encourage them to run, jog and walk.<\/p>\n

The specialty of the Liberation Day Night brings people\u2019s attention to celebrate the liberation Day through sports.<\/p>\n
