Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>French coach Thierry Froger was on Friday, July 21, unveiled as the new coach of Rwandan giants APR FC after signing a one-year deal.<\/p>\n The Frenchman said: “I am very happy to be here. The objective is very clear. The most prestigious club in the country has to win by playing spectacular football.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy first mission is to win the Super Cup which is scheduled for August, the League and then try to do better in the Champions League. But the focus isn\u2019t only on the continental competitions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The APR Chairman, Lt Col Richard Karasira, said: “He knows about the best leagues, he knows what it means to be in charge of a changing room at the highest level because he\u2019s done it in bigger clubs like USM Alger and TP Mazembe.\u201d<\/p>\n Froger arrived in the country on Thursday, July 20.<\/p>\n The former Mazembe boss started his football career, as a player, in 1971 and retired in 1991. He was at the time plying his trade with French Ligue 1 side Le Mans.<\/p>\n Three years later, he ventured into coaching at Le Mans.
