Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Saturday<\/p>\n Rwanda 3-0 Uganda<\/p>\n Sunday<\/p>\n Rwanda vs Morocco<\/p>\n Left attacker Benitha Mukandayisenga is eager to see Rwanda extend their winning streak when they take on Morocco in their last Group B match of the ongoing women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship on Sunday.<\/p>\n Mukandayisenga has been in electric form whose impact has seen Rwanda establish themselves among teams to fear in Yaounde\u0301, Cameroon.<\/p>\n She proved to be every opponents\u2019 nightmare and her strong jump services and attacks destroyed Ugandan defense as Rwanda ran away with a dominant 25-20, 25- 17, 25- 21 victory over the East African neighbors on Saturday, August 19, at Yaounde\u0301 Multipurpose Complex to record their third win in a row.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are going to prepare for the next game against Morocco and try to win it because we want to finish among of top two\u201d Mukandayisenga told Times Sport.<\/p>\n Uganda came to the game with a target of winning the game which could have granted them chance to finish among the top two in Group B.<\/p>\n But they failed to show up against a Rwandan side which in their mind know that there is \u2018no going back\u2019.<\/p>\n What increased the Rwandan dominance were the blockers who won 17 kill blocks against 6 for the Ugandans.<\/p>\n Also read: Rwanda Women pick first win in African Volleyball Champ<\/p>\n Olive Nzamukosha, right attacker and captain Valentine ‘Vava’ Munezero, setter Iris Ndagijimana, center blockers Flavia Dusabe and Albertine Uwiringiyimana played big role for Rwanda to win the game.<\/p>\n Libero Yvonne Umugwaneza and Betty Uwamahoro were also good in defending strong attacks from the Ugandan side.<\/p>\n Rwanda’s lineup remained unchanged for the three sets as Paulo de Tarso sticked to the \u2018winning team\u2019 which had given him two straight wins against Lesotho and Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n Rwanda now sit second on Group B table with nine points, three behind leaders Kenya, while Morocco and Uganda are in third and fourth places respectively.<\/p>\n The team plays engages Morocco on Sunday in a match that will define who, among the pair, finishes in the top two.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is the last game in our group so we need to be ready for them and we believe that they (Morocco) will come looking to beat us so that they can finish on second place but we are going to give them a hard time\u201d said captain Valentine \u2018Vava\u2019 Munezero.<\/p>\n In other matches, Mali beat Burundi 3-0 (25-19, 25-20 and 25-20), Lesotho lost to Burkina Faso 3-0 (17-25, 18-25 and 19-25). Egypt beat Nigeria 3-0 25-14, 25-17 and 25-20.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, defending champions and hosts Cameron lost 3-1 against Egypt on Friday evening.<\/p>\n\r\n
