Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>APR head coach Thierry Froger admits he is concerned by the danger that Egyptian side Pyramids may pose to his team when the pair face off in the first round of the CAF Champions League.<\/p>\n The army side welcomes Pyramids in a first leg encounter that will take place at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, September 17, before traveling to Cairo for the second leg which is scheduled on September 29.<\/p>\n APR struggled against Somalian minnows Gaadiidka despite eliminating them out of the first qualifying round to set a date against an Egyptian team that Froger knows few details about.<\/p>\n Pyramids finished second in the 2022\/23 Egyptian Premier League with 73 points, 10 behind champions Al Ahly.<\/p>\n It has been an incredible season for the club which finished ahead of the likes of African giants Zamalek in the league and that gives Froger a reason for concern ahead of the encounter.<\/p>\n “Pyramids are from an Egyptian league which is ranked second in Africa. We are concerned about that but we are going to try our chance,” Froger told said.<\/p>\n “We tried to find their (Pyramid) videos but, unfortunately, we don\u2019t have any. But it is a team that defends well and presses so fast offensively with their top players,” he added.<\/p>\n APR fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Gasogi United in a friendly match held at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday from which Froger was able to identify some areas of improvement before the Rwandan champions take on Pyramids on Sunday.<\/p>\n “We had a great match against an interesting team, if I may say a very serious opponent, a serious team.
