{"id":52953,"date":"2023-09-19T17:10:44","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T17:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/all-news\/serial-killer-kazungu-case-submitted-to-court"},"modified":"2023-09-19T17:22:38","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T17:22:38","slug":"serial-killer-kazungu-case-submitted-to-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/policy\/serial-killer-kazungu-case-submitted-to-court","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Serial killer&#8217; Kazungu case submitted to court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Aurore Teta Ufitiwabo<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The National Public Prosecution Authority (NPPA) has submitted to court &#8211; for a bail hearing &#8211; the case of Denis Kazungu who is suspected of killing and burying people within his rented residence in Kicukiro District.<\/p>\n<p>Faustin Nkusi, the NPPA spokesperson, told The New Times: \u201cWe filed the case on September 18 to the Primary Court of Kicukiro.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kazungu is expected to appear in court for a pre-trial hearing on Thursday, September 21.<\/p>\n<p>Kazungu was arrested on September 5.<\/p>\n<p>The exact number of Kazungu&#8217;s alleged victims is yet to be established.
