Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>In the world of finance, financial institutions play a crucial role in economic success through skilled talent.<\/p>\n Just recently, BK Capital Ltd, a leading investment bank in Rwanda wrapped up its first-ever Investment Ambassador program.<\/p>\n Under the program, the firm invited students from the University of Kigali, African Leadership University, AUCA, and the University of Rwanda, to, among others, learn about investment banking and become future financial experts.<\/p>\n During eight weeks, the BKC Ambassadors learned various aspects of investment banking, including fund management, brokerage, and corporate finance. They also got practical experience by promoting BK Capital’s main product, the Aguka Unit Trust Fund.<\/p>\n Miles Rwekaza, one of the Ambassadors said; “My time as a BKC Ambassador was an exciting adventure. Each day brought new challenges, from connecting with clients to understanding complex investment concepts.\u201d<\/p>\n He added; \u201cImagine spending eight hours a day meeting people, from small shop owners to top CEOs, all over Kigali. It was far from a leisurely stroll. We had only 30 seconds to 2 minutes to grab someone’s attention in their busy day, give them a 101 financial literacy class, and even convince them to start their investment journey.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut here’s the surprising part \u2013 despite the challenges, it was a rewarding journey. I became skilled at persuading people and not just selling products but also selling myself. I gained a deep understanding of investments and found my place in the world of banking. I owe a big thank you to BK Capital for this opportunity.”<\/p>\n The success of BK Capital’s first Ambassador program shows their dedication and calls for more initiatives like this to empower the financial workforce, officials said.<\/p>\n Rwanda aims to become a financial hub in Africa, and programs like these are essential for shaping the future workforce and providing valuable hands-on experience to individuals.<\/p>\n \u201cBK Capital Ltd takes this opportunity to say thank you to all the universities who participated in this first cohort, specifically, the University of Kigali, African Leadership University, AUCA, and the University of Rwanda.
