Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Benie Axella Kana, the newly-appointed Secretary General of Rayon Sports WFC, is optimistic that her team has what it takes to win every trophy that is the to play for this season.<\/p>\n The Blues, who are making their first appearance in the women\u2019s football league,<\/p>\n were off to a bright start to the season following a resounding 4-0 victory over ES Mutunda in the league opener last week.<\/p>\n The team finished the 2022\/23 second division league season unbeaten where they won the league title and were hence promoted to the topflight league.<\/p>\n They had a remarkable season which also earned them a spot in the Peace Cup and Super Cup in the same season although they lost both cups to AS Kigali Women.<\/p>\n Just a season after the club was established, Kana believes the team is determined to make their mark ad win three trophies this season.<\/p>\n “With our exceptional squad, we set our sights higher this season, targeting success in the league, Peace Cup, and Super Cup. It may seem like an impossible feat, but we believe in our capabilities,” Kana told Times Sport.<\/p>\n “Our objective at Rayon is clear. Courtesy<\/p>\n Rayon Sports WFC return to action on Saturday, October 14, when they welcome defending league champions AS Kigali at SKOL Stadium in Nzove. The upcoming clash against AS Kigali holds great significance for Rayon, as they aim to dethrone the league heavyweights who have dominated Rwandan women football for over a decade.<\/p>\n \u201cAS Kigali may have been a formidable rival, having defeated us in the two finals recently, but we are not afraid of them anymore.
