Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A resilient Rayon Sports side returned to winning ways as Wednesday evening\u2019s 2-1 victory over Etoile de l\u2019Est saw them close the gap at the top of the Primus National League table to within four points with one more game to play.<\/p>\n The Blues put up a positive response from their disappointing weekend during which they were held to a 2-2 against Marines, a result that saw Tunisian gaffer Yamen Zelfani shown exit door.<\/p>\n Mauritanian gaffer Mohamed Wade was on the touchline against Etoile after taking charge of the club on interim role.<\/p>\n Rayon were already 2-0 ahead before they were reduced to 10 men after Burundian midfielder Emmanuel Mvuyekure was sent off in the 63rd minute from throwing a ball to centre referee Claude Ishimwe to express his frustration after he was booked for fouling an Etoile de l\u2019Est player in the buildup.<\/p>\n However, the home side held on as to secure the three maximum points thanks to Musa Esenu\u2019s double in the first half.<\/p>\n The Ugandan forward scored both goals in the 33rd and 44th minute respectively, assisted by in form Joackiam Ojera on both occasions.<\/p>\n Gods Power Gabriel Aniefiok pulled one back for the visitors in the 90th minute Etoile but they failed to score an equalizer before the final whistle.<\/p>\n The win not only put Rayon’s three-game winless streak to an end but also moved the club to fourth position, four behind table leaders Musanze FC.
