Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Chorale de Kigali, one of Rwanda\u2019s most celebrated church choirs is set to host its annual Christmas carols concert, slated for December 19. The St Michel Cathedral-based choir will stage its concert at the Kigali Arena where, according to the organisers, all precautions for COVID-19 will be strictly respected. Doors will be open at 6pm.<\/p>\n

Chorale de Kigali is famous for its fascinating opera-style vocals that make them standout and a spectacle for many, especially devout Roman Catholic Church members.<\/p>\n

According to Oscar Irambona, vice president of the choir, the concert will be much better than last years\u2019 because it will be a physical concert unlike last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though the pandemic didn\u2019t allow us to do practice like we used to, we have worked very hard in terms of vovocals. Our fans will get to hear new developments in our singing and other different famous songs around Africa\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

Concert tickets will be issued through online payment methods. The entrance fee to the venue is Rwf5, 000, Rwf10,000, Rwf20, 000, and a table of 6 people at Rwf150,000. The choir is made up of over 150 members, 60 per cent of which are young people. It was founded by 20 music graduates of Catholic Seminaries.<\/p>\n

Chorale de Kigali has established itself as an undisputed music choir in the Catholic Church, and their uniqueness has given them an honour to perform at big concerts and participate in different religious festivals as well as compose lyrics for different musical bodies.<\/p>\n
