Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Police Volleyball Club captain Olivier Ntagengwa is all smiles after helping his team to clinch their first CAVB-Zone V Championship that concluded at BK Arena on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The law enforcers were crowned champions of the regional volleyball club competition after coming from a set down to trounce Ugandan side Sport-S Volleyball Club 3-1 (19-25, 25-14, 25-20 and 25-15) in the final.<\/p>\n

Ntagengwa, who won the best receiver award, said his team deserved to win the tournament while it was the best way to avenge against a team which beat them in the round robin stages.<\/p>\n

“Our first target was to win the game against Sport-S and we have achieved it, I am happy for the win. We had lost against them in the early stages but we came back this time to take the most important win away from them. Overall, I think we played better volleyball,” Ntagengwa said after Sunday\u2019s comeback victory over Sport-S.<\/p>\n

“We set targets for ourselves before the competition, which we have managed to achieve. In the meantime, I can\u2019t hide my satisfaction with the way we are going about our business,” he added.<\/p>\n

Ntagengwa\u2019s experience at international competitions was crucial to Police\u2019s title glory as he played key role in receiving, strong services and attacking whenever he was needed to get a point for his side.<\/p>\n

Ntagengwa started his volleyball career while in high school at Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare back in 2007 before enjoying a successful 2013 season in which he led the National University of Rwanda volleyball club to the men\u2019s league title.<\/p>\n

He also won multiple title in various team he played for including Rayon Sports, UNATEK, REG and UTB.<\/p>\n
