Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>After 10 years of service as the head coach of Ugandan giants City Oilers, Mandy Juruni on Sunday, December 31, bid farewell to the club as he looks to embark on a new chapter with Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) newcomers Kepler University basketball.<\/p>\n

In his farewell speech, the 41-year-old gaffer hardly got hold of his emotions, revealing that he was going to dearly miss the club that had become a family to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cannot believe that my time at City Oilers is done,\u201d Juruni said before adding; \u201cI am going to miss everyone at this amazing club but I wish you all success.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been part of this club for 10 years and they have been so amazing. For me, it has been more about growing as a coach and as a person while at the club<\/p>\n

\u201cThere have been so many achievements on and off the court and I will walk with the memories. The players have been so amazing. I am proud of how much we achieved as a club and now look forward to my next chapter,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Juruni brings great experience to Kepler, having managed to win 12 top league titles as head coach with different teams, including nine straight championships with City Oilers.<\/p>\n
