Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The intermediate court of Nyarugenge, on Friday, January 5, postponed the trial in substance of suspected serial killer Denis Kazungu to January 12.<\/p>\n

Initially scheduled to take place on January 5, the hearing has been pushed to a later date to allow the court to conduct one trial for all the charges he is facing. Prior to the decision, he was meant to stand two separate trials on different counts.<\/p>\n

He faces 10 counts including murder, rape, desecration of human remains, assault, and so on.<\/p>\n

Kazungu, 34, a resident of Kicukiro District in Kigali, was apprehended by the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) in September, suspecting him of murdering multiple people and burying them in a pit he had dug in his kitchen.<\/p>\n

He was arraigned in court the same month and charged with murder, rape, torture, robbery, damage to property, forgery, desecration of human corpses, and so on.<\/p>\n

Having pleaded guilty, he was remanded.<\/p>\n
