Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Marines FC have parted ways with striker Arthur Gitego with five months left on his contract.<\/p>\n

Gitego, 22, received several offers from froeign clubs like Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards and CA Bizertin from Tunisia and Macedonian side FK Shkupi but a deal with either side hit a snag since Marines were not interested in selling their star striker.<\/p>\n

The youngster is now free to move to any club after both parties finally agreed to part company.<\/p>\n

The Rubavu-based said the player is now free to join any club with AFC Leopard leading the race to sign him.<\/p>\n

Times Sport understands that Gitego is set to sign a two-year deal with the Kenyan club on Friday.<\/p>\n

Gitego made his senior debut for Rwanda in November 2023, and he was in Amavubi squad that drew goalless with Zimbabwe in Huye in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n

He previously also played for Heroes FC, Kiyovu Sports and Gicumbi FC.<\/p>\n
