Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>APR had a tough afternoon in Nyamata as they failed to maintain their gap at the top of the Primus National League table following Sunday\u2019s frustrating goalless draw with Bugesera FC.<\/p>\n

It was an evenly matched game between table leaders APR who have not lost a single so far this campaign and a struggling Bugesera FC side which has only registered on win in their last five outings.<\/p>\n

The likes of Sharaf Eldin Shaiboub and Alain Kwitonda came so close to scoring on the half hour mark but Bugesera\u2019s defense stood resolute to keep the visitors at bay.<\/p>\n

Francis Hairnginogo\u2019s team quickly warmed themselves into the game with league top scorer Elijah Ani getting at the back of Yunusu Nshimiyimana and Clement Niyigena a couple of times only for goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila came to the rescue.<\/p>\n

The second half saw Bosco Ruboneka controlling the APR midfield as they fought hard to break the deadlock.<\/p>\n

Various chances were squandered at both ends in the final 20 minutes of the game but neither managed to find the back of the net, as their 0-0 draw saw them share the spoils.<\/p>\n

Despite being deeply rooted in the relegation zone, Bugesera have been able to hold APR in two legs this season, having also played a 1-1 draw in Kigali in October 2023.<\/p>\n

APR FC now sit at the top of the table with 46 points, four clear of second-placed Rayon Sports. Thierry Froger still have one game in hand.<\/p>\n

Kevin Ebene and Fiston Ishimwe scored for AS Kigali as they defeated Marines FC 2-1 whereas Muhazi United also held Police FC to a goalless draw at Ngoma Stadium, a result that saw the law enforcers go six matches without a win.<\/p>\n
