Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Do you still queue to pay bills? Move with the times, register for BK App or Internet Banking and pay your water bills and taxes anytime, anywhere! Bank of Kigali has urged customers.<\/p>\n

The use of BK App and Internet Banking to make transactions like paying taxes and water bills, is part of the bank\u2019s efforts to promote a cashless economy. The call is in line with the bank\u2019s digital payment campaign dubbed \u201cJyana n’Igihe (Move with the times)\u201d aimed to increase the adoption and usage of BK\u2019s digital<\/p>\n

Through Bank of Kigali\u2019s digital channels, customers can pay taxes, water bills, government services and much more at no extra cost without making unnecessary trips to the lender\u2019s branches.<\/p>\n

“We launched “Jyana n’Igihe” campaign to encourage our customers to register for BK App or Internet Banking to pay their taxes, water bills and much more anytime, anywhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur message to Bank of Kigali customers who still come to our branches for taxes and bill payments is to embrace change because making these payments with our digital channels is easy, convenient and free,” said Audrey Kazera, Bank of Kigali’s Head of Marketing.<\/p>\n

The lender\u2019s officials added that embracing digital payment channels is also helping to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. Clients who are not yet registered on BK\u2019s digital channels can call 4455 or visit the nearest branch to get on-boarded.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur long-term vision is ultimately to eliminate trips to branches, making the lives of customers a lot easier, and to use technology to widen the variety of financial services that are available. To achieve this, it is important that we transition into an organization that is more digitally native by investing in human capacity which allows us to understand, manipulate and even build the technologies that we use to achieve our business objectives and serve our customers\u201d said Obinna J. Ukwuani, Bank of Kigali\u2019s Chief Digital officer in an exclusive interview published on Monday December 13. Bank of Kigali\u2019s \u201cJyana n\u2019Igihe\u201d campaign is a pathway for customers to become a part of the new world, a world where digital is king.<\/p>\n
