Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A 42nd minute penalty from striker Shabani \u2018Tshabalala\u2019 Hussein was enough for AS Kigali to pick all maximum points against struggling Police FC at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday, February 24.<\/p>\n

The win increased pressure on coach Vincent Mashami whose future on the Police FC touchline now looks uncertain after failing to help the team win a single game in their last six outings of the second round of the Primus National League.<\/p>\n

Unlike Police, AS Kigali have managed five wins in their last six second round games and Saturday\u2019s victory sow them climb to sixth with 31 points, leapfrogging Kiyovu who were thrashed 3-0 at home to Marines.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, at Ngoma Stadium, Muhazi United inflicted a 2-0 defeat on relegation bound Etoile de l’Est. Abdul Amin scored in the 25th minute before Caleb Mbanza doubled the lead in the 65th minute. Etoile look destined to return to the second division at the end of the season, as they lag at bottom of the table with just 13 points from 22 games, with eight points off relegation safety.<\/p>\n

Also at the Umuganda Stadium, Marines FC played the final 19 minutes of the game with a man down but they still thumbed Kiyovu Sports 3-0. Jean Ishimwe and Fabio Ndikumana were among the scorers.<\/p>\n

Amagaju also defeated Gasogi 2-0 at Huye Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n

Table leaders APR FC travel to Huye Stadium on Sunday where they will face Mukura Victory Sports.<\/p>\n
