Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>It was a weekend of goals from Rwandans who play out of the country. AFC Leopards’ new signing Arthur Gitego continues his impressive form thanks as he bagged a hat trick in the Kenyan Cup game with Abdul Rwatubyaye and Meddie Kagere also finding the back of the net for their respective clubs in Macedonia and Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Djihad Bizimana, Samuel Gueulette and Warren Kamanzi were in top form at their clubs.<\/p>\n

Times sport takes a look at how Rwandan players fared abroad over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Kenya<\/p>\n

Striker Arthur Gitego made the headlines in Kenya on Sunday, February 25, as he netted a hat-trick for AFC Leopards who thrashed PAC University in the FKF Cup round of 32 game.<\/p>\n

In the same competition, Gor Mahia centre back Emery Bayisenge played full throttle but Patrick Sibomana did not make it in match day squad as their side shockingly lost 5-4 on penalties to third tier side Denmark FC.<\/p>\n

Macedonia<\/p>\n

Centre back Abdul Rwatubyaye was in action throughout the match and scored a 74th second goal for FC Shkupi who played a 2-2 draw with Struga at the Gradska Stadium on Saturday, February 24.<\/p>\n

Ukraine<\/p>\n

Amavubi skipper Djihad Bizimana was unplayable in the heart of midfield as his side FC Kryvbas posted a convincing 3-0 win over LNZ Cherasky at the Kolos Stadium in Kovalivka on Friday, February 23, to open a two-point lead at the top of the Ukrainian Premier League table.<\/p>\n

Belgium<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper Maxime Kali Wenssens started on the bench for league leaders Union St. Gilloise who beat Standard Liege 2-1 on Sunday night. Hakim Sahabo did not make the Standard Liege match day squad.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper Matteo Nkurunziza and left back Hendrick Yves Mutamuliza featured for RWDM U21 who beat Patro Eisden 4-2.<\/p>\n

In the third tier, central midfielder Samuel Gueulette lasted 60 minutes for league leaders Raal La Louviere who maintained their unbeaten run with a 2-1 win over Oud Hervelee II.<\/p>\n

France<\/p>\n

In the French Ligue 1, Right back Warren Kamanzi played the whole game for Toulouse FC who defeated LOSC Lille 3-1 at the Toulouse Stadium on Sunday, February 25.<\/p>\n

In the CFA Ligue, centre back Bryan Ngwabije enjoyed full time action for ASF Andrezieux who drew goalless with Evian Thonon.<\/p>\n

South Africa<\/p>\n

In the Nedbank Cup round of 32, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari started in the post for TS Galaxy who recorded a 2-1 win over Golden Arrows at the Mpumalanga Stadium.<\/p>\n

Switzerland<\/p>\n

Joel Mugisha saw 60 minutes of action before making way for Silvere Ganvoula as Young Boys SC lost 1-0 to Servette while Quentin Rushenguziminega was in action for FC Echallens who drew 1-1 with FC Pully.<\/p>\n

Winger Johan Marvin Kury was not in the Yverdon Sports U21 team which beat Terre Sainte 1-0.<\/p>\n

Netherlands<\/p>\n

In the Eerste Divisie, Noam Emeran was not in the match day squad for FC Gronningen who drew 0-0 with Helmond Sport.<\/p>\n

Morocco<\/p>\n

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe was an unused substitute for Botola League leaders AS FAR Rabat who beat Union Touareg 3-0.<\/p>\n

Libya<\/p>\n

Central defender Thierry Manzi played was in action for 90 minutes as Al Ahli Tripoli beat Asswehly 1-0.<\/p>\n

Tunisia<\/p>\n

Bonheur Mugisha once again missed out on the AS Marsa team which lost 1-0 to AS Soliman.<\/p>\n

Friendly Games<\/p>\n

Striker Innocent Nshuti was introduced in the 59th minute as his club One Knoxville SC drew 2-2 with Chattanooga Red Wolves.<\/p>\n

Ange Mutsinzi captained Jerv and played full 90 minutes as they lost 1-0 to Vard in a preseason friendly.<\/p>\n

Both Lague Byiringiro and Yannick Mukunzi started from the bench for Sandviken IF who thrashed Stocksund 5-0.<\/p>\n
