Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>President Paul Kagame, on March 15, tasked the new sworn-in officials to ensure they deliver on their responsibilities and accelerate the country\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

He was presiding over the swearing-in ceremony of Dr Felicien Usengumukiza, the new deputy CEO of the Rwanda Governance Board, and Judge Kadigwa Gashongore, vice president of the Commercial High Court.<\/p>\n

The two leaders were appointed on January 25, during the first cabinet meeting of 2024 that saw several diplomatic and institutional appointments.<\/p>\n

Kagame noted that swearing-in shouldn\u2019t be ceremonial, it comes with fulfilling responsibilities as leaders, which is beneficial for the whole country and accelerates progress in development, adding that they should keep this in mind for guidance throughout their work.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a demanding job, apart from it being demanding, it is in line with the culture, mindset, and political stance of our country which should be demonstrated in the way of fulfilling your respective responsibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the head of state told the new leaders that their new roles are not much different from what they were doing, but come with heavy responsibilities.<\/p>\n
