Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich has confessed to \u2018standing in solidarity\u2019 with Rwandans on the very occasion when the country commemorates the 30th anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsi.<\/p>\n

In a video publicly shared by the club on Sunday, April 7, the likes of defender Alphonso Davies, attacker Serge Gnabry and goalkeeper and skipper Manuel Neuer urge Rwandans to “Remember, unite and renew.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Today, we stand together with the people of Rwanda to mark #Kwibuka30 and pay tribute to the country’s transformation over the past 30 years,” reads a post shared by the club alongside the video.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Rwanda remembers the lives of over 1,000,000 Tutsi victims lost during the 1994 Genocide.<\/p>\n

In August 2023, Bayern Munich announced a five-year football development and tourism promotion partnership with Rwanda. Through the deal, the club is also planning to set up an academy in Rwanda.<\/p>\n
