Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rwandan players abroad over the weekend put up some good performances as we gradually get to the twilight of the 2023\/24 season.<\/p>\n

Defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe scored the winning penalty as AS FAR Rabat knocked rivals RS Berkane out of the Moroccan Throne Cup.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari kept a clean sheet in South Africa whereas Ange Mutsinzi was a wall at the back for FK Jerv in Norway.<\/p>\n

Sweden<\/p>\n

Rafael York saw 90 minutes of action at the Visma Arena in Vaxjo on Saturday, May 5 as his club Gefle IF drew goalless with Oster in the Swedish Superettan League.<\/p>\n

In the same division, Yannick Mukunzi replaced Malachowski Thorell in the 79th minute but he couldn\u2019t prevent his side Sandviken IF from losing 1-0 to Brage. Fellow countryman Lague Byiringiro was an unused substitute in the game.<\/p>\n

In the Ettan Norra League, Torre Rafael replaced Tyson Alfshari in the 68th minute as his team Orebro Syrianska lost 2-0 to Vaslund.<\/p>\n

Norway<\/p>\n

Claus Niyukuri was substituted in the 18th minute after picking up an injury as he was replaced by Mikkel Hope as his club FK Haugesund lost 1-0 to KFUM in the Eliteserien on Sunday, May 5.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Beltran Nishimswe Mvuka was an unused substitute for Sandefjord who posted a 3-1 win over Molde but Emmanuel Baru Gisa was not in the Fram Larvik squad which beat Start 2-0.<\/p>\n

Goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts for Ull\/Kiss who beat Skied 2-0 in match day five of the Norwegian third tier league.<\/p>\n

Central defender Ange Mutsinzi was resolute at the back for FK Jerv as he saw full time action in their 2-1 win over Brann 2.<\/p>\n

Netherlands<\/p>\n

Noam Emeran replaced German midfielder Marco Rente in the 76th minute as promotion chasing FC Groningen drew 1-1 Telstar in the Dutch Eredivisie League.<\/p>\n

Belgium<\/p>\n

Youngster Hakim Sahabo played 46 minutes for Standard Liege who were thrashed 3-1 by OH Leuven in the play off. Liege are without a win in seven playoff games, drawing five and losing twice.<\/p>\n

Defensive midfielder Samuel Gueulette played full throttle for 2023\/24 1ste National League champions Raal La Louviere who were thumped 3-0 by Knokke.<\/p>\n

There was no Salomon Nirisarike in the KVK Tienen squad which beat Winkel Sport 2-0. The defender continues to struggle for playing time since the beginning of the season.<\/p>\n

France<\/p>\n

Warren Kamanzi replaced Mikkel Desler in the 62nd minute as Toulouse lost 2-1 to Montpellier. Both teams ended the game with ten men following two red cards.<\/p>\n

Switzerland<\/p>\n

Joel Mugisha Mvuka came in for Congolese forward Meschak Elia in the 77th minute as his side BSC Young Boys beat FC Zurich 2-0. Young Boys are top of the Swiss league with 68 points from 34 games.<\/p>\n

Skipper Quentin Rushenguziminega saw 90 minutes of action for FC Echallens who humiliated FC Cofframe 4-0 in the Swiss Classica League.<\/p>\n

Ukraine<\/p>\n

Amavubi captain Djihad Bizimana will feature for FC Kryvbas when they face Dnipro at the Dnipro Arena on Monday, May 6.<\/p>\n

In the Ukrainian second tier league, winger George Lewis Ishimwe lasted 46 minutes before making way for Android Fesenko as his club PFC Zvyahel drew 1-1 with Kudrivka.<\/p>\n

Macedonia<\/p>\n

Centre back Abdul Rwatubyaye played 90 minutes as FC Shkupi’s quest of winning the title was dealt a big blow following Saturday\u2019s 2-0 loss to Skedija. Shkupi have now slipped to third on the table with 58 points after 31 games.<\/p>\n

Latvia<\/p>\n

Centre back Dylan Georges Maes was a full timer for FS Jelgava who lost 1-0 to BFC Daugavpils.<\/p>\n

South Africa<\/p>\n

Fiacre Ntwari kept a clean sheet TS Galaxy on Friday, May 3, as they drew 0-0 with Sekhukhune United. Galaxy are fifth on the table with 38 points.<\/p>\n

Morocco<\/p>\n

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe scored the winning penalty for AS FAR as they eliminated RS Berkane 8-7 from the Moroccan Kings Cup round of 32. Regulation time ended 2-2.<\/p>\n

AS FAR will face RCA Zemamra in the Cup round of 16 on Wednesday, May 8.<\/p>\n

Kenya<\/p>\n

Arthur Gitego saw 90 minutes of action for AFC Leopards who beat Bandari FC at the Dandora Stadium on Sunday, May 5.<\/p>\n

Tunisia<\/p>\n

Holding midfielder Bonheur Mugisha had another great outing and tasted 90 minutes of action in AS Marsa’s 1-0 defeat to EGS Gafsa.<\/p>\n

Tanzania<\/p>\n

Veteran striker Meddie Kagere may get some minutes on Monday, May 6 when Namungo FC face Ihefu FC.<\/p>\n
