Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Members of RPF-Inkotanyi, Rwanda\u2019s ruling party, on Sunday, May 12, were given the party\u2019s manifesto for 2024 elections and made a committement to its implementation as they build on the development achieved over the past years.<\/p>\n

This was during the party\u2019s assemblies held at village level across the country that saw members take stock of the different achievements made throughout the past mandate since 2017, existing gaps, and a presentation of the manifesto for the upcoming elections campaign.<\/p>\n

Rwanda will hold the presidential and parliamentary elections on July 15 and the party elected President Paul Kagame as its flag-bearer, on March 9, following three-weeks exercise of party primaries.<\/p>\n

Over the next five years, the RPF seeks to build on what it has achieved so far towards the national Vision 2050 that aims at achieving sustainable development and better quality of life for every Rwandan.<\/p>\n

Brian Kayitare Rubaduka, RPF Chairman in Bwiza Village, Kanombe Sector, Kicukiro District, said that the assembly aimed at reinforcing the fulfillment of responsibilities and collaboration among different leadership structures, and creating awareness of the 2024 campaign manifesto (2024-2029).<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are two important things we are focusing on as we prepare for the upcoming elections to support our candidate and move the country\u2019s development forward,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

John Rukabu, Vice-Chairman of RPF Committee in Kavumu village, Kanombe Sector, made a brief presentation about the content of the manifesto as highlighted under the three pillars of Economic Transformation, Social Transformation and Transformational Governance.<\/p>\n

He noted that under the National Transformation Strategy (NST1), the country\u2019s GDP increased to Rwf16.3 trillion in 2023 as witnessed across sectors including infrastructure, health, technology, education, economy, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need you to read, understand and hold dearly onto the manifesto just like you know your family generation hierarchy. There is a consolidation of what the party achieved, it is upon us to protect, sustain, and build on what has been achieved. We must take ownership of this,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Gloriose Mukakarimba, Kavumu Village Coordinator encouraged the residents find solutions to spur their development from within and foster collaboration with which the leadership at grassroots levels can add on to fast-track different infrastructure and health projects while working towards the same goal of developing the country.<\/p>\n

Carine Mukamusonga, resident in the same village expressed commitment to supporting the party during the election campaigns, noting that the achievements speak for themselves to the essence of good leadership that has improved the welfare of all Rwandans.<\/p>\n

She added that the self-reliance mindset cultivated among Rwandans since the country rose from the ashes of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, is what pushes people forward to address challenges and build a country they want.<\/p>\n
