Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>President Paul Kagame, on Saturday, May 18, met with Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote in Kigali and discussed opportunities for partnership, investment as well as increasing intra-Africa trade.<\/p>\n

Dangote, the richest man in Africa, was in Kigali for the Africa CEO Forum, a two-day event that concluded on Friday, May 16, having brought together more than 2,500 business leaders and policymakers from all over the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Kagame met with Aliko Dangote, the founder, chairman, and CEO of the Dangote Group and owner of the Dangote Refinery, the largest single-train refinery in the world,\u201d a statement from the President\u2019s office reads in part.\u201cThey discussed opportunities for partnership and investment as well as the need to increase intra-Africa trade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, on Friday, May 17, Dangote told over 2,500 delegates attending the CEOs forum that ‘nothing is impossible in Africa.\u2019<\/p>\n

He noted that he was optimistic about the direction of Africa’s economic growth and that all signs pointed to a continent that stands to transform and serve the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very excited because, going forward, the future is Africa. We have what it takes to make Africa great. That is why, I am not only putting in my own money, I am putting in my soul in Africa to make Africa great,\u201d he said<\/p>\n
