Quarterfinals<\/p>\n

Al Ahly SC vs Al Ahly Ly (2PM CAT)<\/p>\n

After a two-day action-packed classification round, the eight teams now know who they will face in the last eight stage of the 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL) playoffs which are underway at BK Arena.<\/p>\n

The first quarter-final match-up will see Al Ahly SC take on Al Ahly Libya at 2:30pm CAT.<\/p>\n

Al Ahly are in Kigali to defend the title they won in 2023, but Friday night\u2019s 78-89 loss to Moroccan side FUS de Rabat showed that the Egytians are not in the league of their own.<\/p>\n

They must come back stronger and prepared to avoid yet another surprising slipup against Al Ahly Ly who are a bit more motivated after beating South Africa\u2019s Cape Town Tigers in the classification round.<\/p>\n

Three hours later (5:30 pm CAT), FUS de Rabat will go up against Cape Town Tigers.<\/p>\n

BAL 2024: AS Douanes beat Rivers Hoopers in playoffs classification game<\/p>\n

The race for the last two spots for the semi-finals resumes on Monday, May 27 with Rivers Hoopers facing US Monastir at 5:00 pm (Kigali-time) before AS Douanes play Petro de Luanda at 8:00 pm (Kigali-time).<\/p>\n

This is what the 2024 BAL playoffs ranking looks like after the classification round:<\/p>\n
