Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A 58th minute goal from striker Rashid Mutebi was enough for his side Vision FC to beat Intare FC and register their second consecutive Second Division playoff win on Saturday, May 25, at Mumena Stadium.<\/p>\n

Vision FC needed the win as they prepare to play their next two matches away from home.<\/p>\n

The match began on a slow pace, with both teams looking hesitant to make forward runs. There were a handful of clear chances from either side, with play largely confined to the midfield and defensive areas, resulting in a goalless draw at halftime.<\/p>\n

Vision started the second half looking reinergised, outpacing the visitors and pushing the ball forward more aggressively.<\/p>\n

In the 47th minute, coach Fils Muvunyi brought on Ibrahim Nshimiyimana for winger Garang Akeeni, a move that proved to be a game-changer for Vision FC.<\/p>\n

Radjabu Mbanjineza had a golden opportunity to score in the 48th minute, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper, resulting in a corner kick.<\/p>\n

Another chance followed in the 52nd minute when Rashid Mutebi fired a powerful strike but Intare\u2019s goalkeeper made another crucial save to keep the score level.<\/p>\n

Mutebi finally broke the deadlock in the 58th minute with a beautiful finish from his weaker left foot. The goal originated from a corner kick, set by Nshimiyimana, which was initially cleared by the goalkeeper but returned to Nshimiyimana who then provided a perfect assist to Mutebi to give his side the lead.<\/p>\n

Despite making several changes after conceding, Intare FC failed to create any significant chances to equalize, as the match ended 1-0 in favor of the home side.<\/p>\n

In another playoff match, Rutsiro FC traveled to Muhanga Stadium to beat AS Muhanga FC 3-1. AS Muhanga have now lost their second playoff match in a row, having lost 2-1 to Vision FC in their playoffs opener at Mumena Stadium.<\/p>\n

Currently, Vision FC lead the table with six points, two clear of second-placed Rutsiro FC who have four points. Intare sits third with one point, while AS Muhanga find themselves at the bottom of the mini-league table without a single point.<\/p>\n
