Semifinals playoffs<\/p>\n

Police HC vs ES Kigoma 4:30pm<\/p>\n

APR HC vs Gicumbi 6pm<\/p>\n

All roads will lead to Kimisagara Youth Centre, the home of the forthcoming post-season\u2019s national handball league playoffs slated June 28-30.<\/p>\n

Police HC finished the regular season unbeaten after beating rivals APR HC 24-23 on Sunday, June 23, to collect all 48 points out of a possible 48 that were there to play for.<\/p>\n

The loss saw APR HC finish second on the table with 44 points while Gicumbi and ES Kigoma completed the top four with 40 points and 30 points respectively.<\/p>\n

The playoffs kickoff with semifinals where Police on Friday, June 28, will take on fourth-place ES Kigoma as firm favorites while APR will play against defending champions Gicumbi.<\/p>\n

Winners of each of the semifinal matches will qualify for the final playoffs which will be played in the best-of three format.<\/p>\n

Gicumbi HC won last year’s league title after beating Police in the final rematch. APR finished in third place.<\/p>\n
