Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame, on July 4, joined tens of thousands of Rwandans and friends of Rwanda at the newly renovated ultramodern 45,000-seat Amahoro National Stadium to celebrate the 30th liberation anniversary.<\/p>\n

The celebrations mark the triumph of the RPF-Inkotanyi and its armed wing RPA over the genocidal regime that orchestrated and executed the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.<\/p>\n

The national celebrations, which saw the newly-refurbised stadium filled to capacity, were marked with a military parade by the Rwanda Defence Force and Rwanda National Police, a cultural performance by the national cultural troupe Urukurereza, and performances by other artistes.<\/p>\n

The Army Band and Police Band units were a key part of proceedings, at one point in a pattern that seamlessly formed a perfect 30, representing the country’s 30-year liberation anniversary.<\/p>\n

The military parade was one of the key highlights of the milestone celebrations.<\/p>\n

Those in attendance were treated to a spectacular parade mounted by the Rwanda Defence Force and Rwanda National Police.<\/p>\n
