Finals Game 2<\/p>\n

Police 34-27 APR<\/p>\n

Police Handball Club on Saturday, July 6, beat APR 34-27 in Game 2 of the national handball league finals to tie the series 1-1.<\/p>\n

The game, which took place at Kigali Pele Stadium\u2019s handball court, was officiated by Zimbabwean referees.<\/p>\n

Police forfeited Game 1 after coach Antoine Ntabanganyimana and his players walked off the court in protest of the referee\u2019s decision to award a penalty to APR in what they termed as \u2018cheating.\u2019<\/p>\n

While APR were handed a 20-0 win as a result of the forfeit, there were reports that Police would not show up for Game 2 until the last time when the team decided to play.<\/p>\n

Game 3 of the series will take place on Sunday, July 7. The match will decide the champions of the national league this season.<\/p>\n

Gicumbi were crowned champion of the 2023 handball league after beating Police in the finals.<\/p>\n
