{"id":81143,"date":"2024-08-08T17:02:36","date_gmt":"2024-08-08T17:02:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/all-news\/major-youth-basketball-camp-gets-underway-in-kigali"},"modified":"2024-08-08T17:21:35","modified_gmt":"2024-08-08T17:21:35","slug":"major-youth-basketball-camp-gets-underway-in-kigali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/sport\/major-youth-basketball-camp-gets-underway-in-kigali","title":{"rendered":"Major youth basketball camp gets underway in Kigali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A youth basketball camp is set to take place in Kigali from August 8 to 20, aiming to equip young players with essential basketball skills and life values such as teamwork, love, respect, and sportsmanship.<\/p>\n<p>The camp, which is free of charge, will attract youngsters aged 13 to 19 at the Kimironko Basketball Court from 2 pm to 5 pm daily.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by Hoops Genesis Ventures in partnership with the Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA), the camp is an initiative of Hoops Genesis Ventures (HGV), a company that manages and runs various football and basketball leagues in India.<\/p>\n<p>Innocent Kwizera, a basketball coach and founder of HGV, emphasised the camp\u2019s role in fostering belief among young sportsmen and women, so that they can excel in the game regardless of their background.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he highlighted that the camp not only focuses on teaching basketball but also aims to discover hidden talents in areas such as leadership, public speaking, art, and drama.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the future of Rwanda in mind, we are steadily putting together a team of like-minded individuals whose goal is to boost the confidence of the youth and provide educational opportunities through scholarships for promising students,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>The camp intends to establish a youth community or school in Rwanda that caters for young people from diverse backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About Rwanda Follow Africa-Press<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda.
