Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>IPRC-South Basketball head coach Charles Mushumba has been appointed the assistant coach of the national team.<\/p>\n

He replaces Henry Mwinuka who had served in the position since 2020.<\/p>\n

Mwinuka also had a stint as the interim head coach of the national team early last year after Serbian coach Vladimir Bosnyak threw in the towel.<\/p>\n

Mushumba will work under Cheikh Sarr, the Senegalese tactician who is the head coach of the team.<\/p>\n

He comes into the position at a time when the national team is gearing up for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers that are due in February.<\/p>\n

Mushumba played basketball for the National University of Rwanda (NUR) in 1997. In 2002 he became the head coach for both the university\u2019s men and women hoops teams.<\/p>\n

7. Kit Manager: Murenzi Romeo<\/p>\n

8. Team Physio: Claude Nishimwe<\/p>\n

9. Team Doctor: Dr. Leandre Ishema<\/p>\n
