Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Jean Claude Uwizeye, a former national team cyclist, has signed for Excelsior de Baie Mahault, in Guadeloupe, on a one-year deal. The move was completed on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Uwizeye, 28, won the 2019 Tour de Guyane before joining P\u00e9dale Pilotine-Blue Car, but he never featured for the Martinique-based club owing to the disruptions caused by Covid-19.<\/p>\n

He previously represented local side Les Amis Sportif de Rwamagana and French outfit Les Sables Vend\u00e9e CC. At the peak of his career, Uwizeye finished second at the 2018 Tour du Rwanda and was the runner-up at the 2017 Tour of Eritrea.<\/p>\n
