Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>With exactly 10 days to go, at least seven teams have confirmed their participation in the forthcoming FIBA Africa women Zone V Club Championship in Zanzibar, according to organisers.<\/p>\n

The week-long tournament is scheduled for October 27 to November 2.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s regional championship will attract the champions of Ethiopia, Egypt, Uganda, Rwanda and hosts Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Rwanda will have two representatives at the tournament including 2024 league champions Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and APR who finished the season as runners-up.<\/p>\n

The same teams took part in the previous edition of the Zone V women\u2019s championship held in Kigali where REG finished in second place after losing 53-87 to Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in the final.<\/p>\n

The two teams eventually qualified for 2023 FIBA Africa Champions Cup that took place in Egypt in December 2023.<\/p>\n

Teams confirmed for FIBA Zone V tournament<\/p>\n

Al Alhy (Egypt), Hawassa City (Ethiopia), APR (Rwanda), REG (Rwanda), Fox Divas (Tanzania), Vijana Queens (Tanzania) and JKL Lady (Uganda).<\/p>\n
