Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A total of154 police officers including commissioners have been retired from Rwanda National Police.<\/p>\n

Their retirement was announced by the Police on November 10.<\/p>\n

The retirees include Commissioner of Police (CP) Denis Basabose, who served as the commanding officer for Task Force Unit.<\/p>\n

Six Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) were retired, namely Celestin Twahirwa, Elias Mwesigye, Eugene Mushaija, Tom Murangira, David Rukika and Michel Bayingana, according to the statement.<\/p>\n

ACP Twahirwa served as the Commissioner for Planning, Research, and Development, while ACP Mwesigye held the role of Marine Police Commanding Officer.<\/p>\n

Also retired are 15 senior officers, 22 junior officers and 96 non-commissioned officers. 13 police officers retired for medical reasons, and one was discharged for other reasons, the Police said.<\/p>\n
