Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Team Rwanda head coach David Louvet has announced his final list of five riders that he will count on during the much-anticipated 17th edition of Tour du Rwanda.<\/p>\n

The continental cycling event will run from February 23 through March 2.<\/p>\n

The final roster released by the Frenchman includes Mike Uwiduhaye, Didier Munyaneza, Vainqueur Masengesho, Eric Nkundabera and Moise Mugisha.<\/p>\n

The team has been training in high mountains and camping at Africa Rising Cycling Centre in Musanze District, Northern Province, but it is planned that they are going to spend the last week of the preparations in Bugesera until the deadline day of Tour du Rwanda.<\/p>\n

Last week, Team Rwanda received 12 road bikes from Ministry of Sports (MINISPORTS) with which the riders hope to improve their performance at this year\u2019s edition.<\/p>\n

Rwandan national team is among 15 teams confirmed for Tour du Rwanda 2025. The race features a mix of professional continental teams, development squads, and national selections.<\/p>\n

Each of the teams has now submitted their rosters for the race. They, however, have one more chance to make change in the rosters.<\/p>\n

The Tour du Rwanda 2025 consists of 812 kilometers. It consists of eight stages, with the longest of all [Rukomo of Gicumbi-Kayonza] covering a distance of 158 kilometers.<\/p>\n

Until 2008, the Tour du Rwanda was a regional cycling race, bringing together Rwandans and riders from neighboring countries such as Burundi, Tanzania and Uganda and it wasn\u2019t until 2009 when the race obtained UCI status, hence becoming international.<\/p>\n

It then became more competitive since it was sanctioned to 2.1.<\/p>\n

Stage 1: Sunday, Feb. 23: Amahoro Stadium (Prologue 4km)<\/p>\n

Stage 2: Monday, Feb 24: Rukomo – Kayonza (Km 158)<\/p>\n

Stage 3: Tuesday, Feb 25: Kigali – Musanze (km 121)<\/p>\n

Stage 4: Wednesday, Feb 26: Musanze – Rubavu (Km 102)<\/p>\n

Stage 5: Thursday, Feb 27: Rubavu – Karongi (Km 97)<\/p>\n

Stage 6: Friday, Feb 28: Rusizi-Huye (km143)<\/p>\n

Stage 7: Saturday, March 1: Nyanza-Canal Olympia (Km 114)<\/p>\n

Stage 8: Sunday, March 2: KCC-KCC (km 73)<\/p>\n
