Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The draw of the 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship left Rwandan champions APR women\u2019s volleyball club pooled in Group A alongside Tunisian giants Club Fe\u0301minin de Carthage (CFC) as Police find themselves in Group D alongside East African and Zone 5 rivals Kenya Pipeline.<\/p>\n

The two teams knew their groups during a draw held at the Exclusive Serena Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria, on Wednesday, April 2. The draw coincided with the Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) technical meeting, chaired by CAVB President and FIVB Vice-President Bouchra Hajij.<\/p>\n

The tournament will take place from April 3-14 at Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.<\/p>\n

Nigeria is hosting the prestigious tournament for the first time. Of the 27 clubs that pre-registered, only 16 confirmed their participation, despite some late withdrawals including Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA).<\/p>\n

The 16 teams were seeded according to the 2024 CAVB Women\u2019s Club Championship results. The hosting club, Nigeria Customs Service, leads Pool A, which includes Maya Kane Evolution of Cameroon, Rwanda\u2019s APR, and Tunisian champions and tournament\u2019s two-time winners Club Fe\u0301minin de Carthage (CFC).<\/p>\n

Tournament holders Zamalek Sporting Club leads Pool B which includes Kenya Prisons Volleyball Club, CNS of Nigeria and Spiking Stars of Botswana, participating for the first time.<\/p>\n

Pool C is led by 2024 tournament finalists Al Ahly Sporting Club, Kenya Commercial Bank Volleyball Club, Volleyball Club La Loi from Congo, and Senegal\u2019s Sococim Volleyball Club while Kenya Pipeline Company Volleyball Club, Litto Team Volleyball of Cameroon, Police WVC, and Club Omnisports Descartes.<\/p>\n
