Africa-Press – Senegal.
She took part on Tuesday in the ceremony to hand over 2,000 bicycles for home care providers as part of World Malaria Day at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Social Action.
“We are very proud of the remarkable achievements of the PNLP which has brought nearly half of the country to a malaria pre-elimination status,” Ms. Madrigal stressed.
According to her, the delivery of these bikes is timely and « will allow these essential community actors to work in better conditions, in particular for sweepings for the detection of cases of malaria and their resupply of drugs and other inputs ». ‘.
“These bicycles are an important and environmentally friendly solution for providing essential health services to rural populations,” she said.
World Malaria Day is celebrated on April 25. This year the theme is ‘It’s time to get to zero malaria: invest, innovate and implement’.
