Africa-Press – Senegal. The new literary work “Légitime imposture”, by the Senegalese novelist, Marième Soda Ndoye Lô, is a “tool for the preservation and transmission of knowledge” for future generations, we learned of its author.

“+ Légitime imposture +, which deals with topical issues, is a tool for the preservation and transmission of knowledge, which truly allows us to mark our passage on earth for future generations”, she explained in particular.

Marième Soda Ndoye Lô spoke on Wednesday at the celebration ceremony for World Book and Copyright Day. Day, which is held on April 23 every year. This year’s edition has been postponed to April 26 in Kaolack (center).

The day was organized on the initiative of the director of the Regional Cultural Center of Kaolack, Aby Faye, in collaboration with the CAALK and the Kaolack section of the Senegalese Association of French Teachers (ASPF). Several students from different schools in the municipality of Kaolack participated in the celebration of this book and copyright day.

Marième Soda Ndoye Lô’s book tells the story of two twins who were separated at birth. But when it came down to ‘the impostor’ wanting to be the person he claims to be, he went to a library to look for books to read what his twin brother Aly said. read to quote it.

« Who is not an impostor? We all show, somewhere, what we are not really. It’s a bit of a reflection of Senegalese society if we go deeper into what is written. The word + Imposture + is the quintessence of our current society, » said the novelist.

His book also talks about Malang, a young Senegalese who, faced with the harsh reality of life, is looking for his place in Dakar, waiting for a sign of fate. His life changes when he meets Arame, « a beautiful and rich young woman » who takes him for her missing husband.

Between the morality that dictates him to confess the truth and the temptation to seize this exceptional opportunity, his choice will lead them into a strange threesome relationship, with unsuspected consequences.

Ms. Lô is convinced that we must bring back hope, perseverance and determination in young people who can help all projects succeed. « This is to say that everything is possible in Senegal, but we should promote good values and avoid doing anything to achieve our goals, » she argued.

After « An unfaithful and perfect man », her first literary work, the novelist publishes « Légitime imposture » through which she immerses her readers in a reflection that pushes them to carry out much more in-depth research on the realities of Senegalese society.
