
Africa-Press – Senegal. The AS Douanes men’s basketball team won its sixth Saint Michel Cup trophy on Saturday evening, after beating that of AS ville de Dakar (ASVD) on a very tight score (75 -74), found the APS.
Coming in large numbers to the Marius Ndiaye stadium to attend the Saint Michel Cup final, fans of the orange ball were treated to a great show of play this Saturday evening, thanks to a great performance from the two teams who maintained the suspense until ‘at the end.
The Saint Michel Cup final between the two teams was fiercely contested, before the Douaniers won the 48th edition of the tournament with a narrow score of 75 to 74, a one-point difference.

Les Douaniers, with a very inspired Jean-Jacques Boissy, reversed the trend in the second quarter, leading by seven points (23-17).
ASVD will come back to the charge in the third quarter time to regain control of the match (56-52).
It’s in the last quarter that everything will be decided. AS Douanes, which had lost the last two finals of the Saint Michel cup, was this time determined to distribute with the trophy.
The men of Mamadou Gueye « Pabi » will win their sixth coronation in the final minutes, after those of 1993, 2005, 2007,2008 and 2018.
