Africa-Press – Senegal. African champions of all disciplines and categories over the past five years will be honored by the Republic, Head of State Macky Sall announced on Sunday.
« J’ai pris la décision d’honorer nos sportifs champions d’Afrique toutes disciplines confondues, au cours des cinq dernières années. Je procéderai prochainement à la décoration dans nos ordres nationaux », a notamment dit M. Sall.
The Head of State made this announcement during the reception ceremony, at the Palace of the Republic, of the members of the national team of under 17 winners of the African Cup of Nations in the category.
Macky Sall decided on Sunday to grant a special bonus of 10 million CFA francs to each of the players of the national football team winner of the CAN U 17, as well as to the members of the official delegation.
He had made the same gesture towards the other trophy-winning teams. These include the senior national team, the home team that won the African Nations Championship (CHAN), the national under-20 football team that recently won the CAN category .
