Africa-Press – Senegal. The delegation to represent Senegal at the African Karate Championship which takes place in Morocco from August 14 to 20, should leave Dakar tonight, at 3 a.m., to join Casablanca, announced at the APS, the vice-president of the Federation of this sporting discipline in charge of communication, Sensei Yatma Lô.
“This is due to a delay in ticket availability and booking. Currently everything is in place for us to participate in the African Karate Championship in all categories (cadets, juniors and seniors)”, indicated Sensei Yatma Lô. He specified that the Senegalese delegation will be composed of seventeen combatants.
Around 1,000 participants from 27 African countries are expected in Casablanca for this tournament, which is the 22nd senior edition. It is also the 14th junior edition, the 6th cadet edition and the first para-karate edition of the African championship.
