Africa-Press – Senegal. The Senegalese athlete Sangoné Kandji was eliminated, Wednesday, during the qualifications of the triple jump competition of the World Athletics Championships, APS has learned.
The triple jump specialist finished last in her series with a jump of 12m82.
Second and last representative of Senegal at the World Athletics Championships, she leaves the competition, after the disqualification Monday of Louis François Mendy, from the 110m hurdles race for a false start.
The World Athletics Championships take place August 19-27 in Budapest, Hungary.
